Consultation Cancellation and No-Show Policy
The complimentary 15-minute fit call is provided at no charge when attended as scheduled. A valid payment method is required to reserve a time, and a $50 fee may apply to late cancellations, late rescheduling, and missed appointments.

The Branding Iron offers a complimentary 15-minute fit call to determine whether the firm may be able to assist, identify the likely next step, and explain the anticipated scope and fee. The call is provided at no charge when attended as scheduled.
Payment method required
A valid payment method is required to reserve an appointment. The payment information is entered directly with Stripe. The Branding Iron does not receive or store the full card number. The $50 fee is not charged when the appointment is booked or when the consultation is attended as scheduled. Stripe or the card issuer may require authentication or a temporary verification step to save the payment method.
$50 late-cancellation, late-rescheduling, and no-show fee
By completing the reservation, you authorize The Branding Iron to charge the saved payment method $50 if you:
- cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time;
- reschedule less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time; or
- fail to attend the appointment.
The scheduled start time and time zone are the date, time, and time zone shown in the booking confirmation. A cancellation or rescheduling request is effective when it is submitted through the official booking link or received by the firm by email or telephone.
A prospect is treated as a no-show when the prospect has not joined or answered the call within five minutes after the scheduled start time and has not provided prior notice.
Appointments booked less than 24 hours in advance
If an appointment is booked fewer than 24 hours before its start, it may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge during the first 30 minutes after booking. After that grace period, a cancellation, rescheduling, or no-show may result in the $50 fee.
Exceptions and waivers
No fee will be charged when The Branding Iron cancels or reschedules the appointment or cannot provide the consultation. The firm may waive or refund the fee for an emergency, illness, technical problem, circumstances beyond the prospect's reasonable control, or other good cause. A waiver is determined based on the circumstances and is not guaranteed.
Requesting review of a charge
To request review of a charge, contact info@brandingironlegal.com within seven days after the receipt is sent and briefly explain the circumstances. Do not include unnecessary confidential or sensitive information.
No attorney-client relationship
Scheduling or attending a consultation, saving a payment method, or paying a cancellation or no-show fee does not create an attorney-client relationship. The Branding Iron represents a person or entity only after the firm completes its conflicts review, agrees in writing to the representation, and the parties execute a written engagement agreement.
The $50 charge is an appointment-reservation, late-cancellation, or no-show charge. It is not a payment for legal services, legal advice, or an agreement by the firm to accept a matter.
